Torrox - February 2025
Tuesday - Here we are in Torrox, fancied coming here to be by the sea, since we've not seen it since we arrived. So we arrived Monday and Tuesday, was basically just a domestic day really. We did stroll down to the Costa around lunchtime and did stop for something to eat.
Thursday we met up with our friends Brian and Jane. We strolled along the prom and then stopped for breakfast. It was lovely to see them again, and although a year has past, they haven't changed a bit.
The weather wasn't looking promising on Friday, so we took a quick stroll down the Costa and along the prom, stopping for tapas, which actually wasn't very good. We got back to camp just in time before the rain came. Saturday, again rain forecasted, so we took the bus to Nerja and stopped for some lunch. The weather really perked up and it was quite a pleasant afternoon. We got the bus back to Torrox and got in just as it started raining again. Sunday, we walked along the barranca and up to Torrox town itself. We stopped for lunch in the main square. It turned out again, to be a lovely day. We met our new neighbours this morning, an english couple from Leeds. They had brought their pet with them, Sparky, who is 81 years old. Sparky the tortoise. Yes, really a 🐢. We couldn't believe it when we saw him wondering around their pitch. It certainly is a conversation starter. Anyhow, we are off tomorrow, to Granada, a new location. Looking forward to it.
