Haro - April 2025
Tuesday we decided to take it a bit easy and so we took a stroll along the river to the next village, Brinas but unfortunately they were working on the bridge, so we turned around and picked up the via verde in the other direction, following the river still. We had a very pleasant walk. The water levels here are certainly high. We know that Spain has had a very wet winter and fortunately, we've managed to avoid a lot of the rain, just had a couple of wet days on the trot, mind you, they were seriously wet days, raining non stop. Still, they needed the rain. After this we went for some lunch at Bar Beethoven before returning back to camp. It is exceptionally hot at the moment 27.Wednesday we decided to head along the via verde again, but continue on to the next village. It's a nice walk along the river passing a couple of waterfalls that were really gushing with water, it was flowing very nicely. We walked past fields of vines and then reached
Anguciana. We stopped here at a bar for a cold drink and then made our way back to Haro. Again another very hot day.
Thursday, we did a walk out of town and around the vineyards. The vines are just starting to get a few leaves on them, but still very bare. Not as hot today, so made it quite comfortable to walk. It chucked it down with rain in the evening. Typical, tomorrow we will start to get ready to leave on Saturday.

Well Friday wasn't too bad weather wise. In the evening we went out for our farewell dinner at Bar Beethoven. It looks like we are going to have a reasonable crossing tomorrow.
That's it for now folks. Bye
