Jávea 4th March - 10th
Oh dear, we've not done very well for photo's this week.
Monday, we had a quiet day and spent the evening with John and Pat, who cooked us a lovely dinner. They are leaving at the weekend, so it was nice to have the chance just the four of us to catch up.
Tuesday, Steve and I decided to walk around Montgo. This involved catching the bus to Denia and then walking around the mountain and back to Jávea. It was a nice warm day and the walk was quite enjoyable, getting great views of the coast as we walked. We eventually arrived back at camp having completed 12.5 miles. We were somewhat tired but thoroughly enjoyed our day.
Wednesday we headed up to Rob & Lesley's. We had a game of Boules, which we lost at. Rob then made Seafood Paella and his famous garlic bread. It was very nice. Later in the afternoon it started to get a bit cool, so we headed indoors for cards. Well, what a joyous day it was for us. Steve managed to go completely out 3 times and I also managed it. Wow, we were shocked to the core. We giggled all the way home 😂
Thursday we took a stroll down to the front and had a light lunch, which was ver pleasant.
Friday, we cycled to Granadella. This is one of our favourite places. It's only 7.5 miles away, but as I've said before in previous years, it's one heck of a cycle ride. Up hill virtually all the way and then the last 1k is down hill all the way into the bay. Then it's a big slog back up that hill but after that, downhill all the way home. In the evening we went out to Pad Thai for dinner with Lesley & Rob, John & Pat, Steve & Vicki and Jean & Pete. A most enjoyable day. We say goodbye to John & Pat who head home tomorrow.
