Bognor Regis, West Sussex ~ 13th - 20th September
The weather is still warm and sunny, so we've stayed on the coast and just moved a little further along. Never been to Bognor Regis, so this is a new area for us to explore.
Thursday we headed down to the sea front and walked along the pier, a rather short pier, but all the
same a pier. We then headed along the prom heading towards the villages just beyond Bognor Regis. We stopped at a very nice beach bar/restaurant and had some lunch looking out over the sea. We then just strolled back taking in our surroundings.

Friday we took the bus to Chichester. This is a lovely place with
Cathedral, quaint shops, bars and restaurants. My Uncle sang in The Cathedral Choir, so it is a special place to visit. After wandering around, we stopped for a bite to eat and then continued with our mooch around until we finally caught the bus back to camp.
LIttlehampton. Here, we had a stroll along the
seafront, stopped for a bite to eat and then walked all the way back to Bognor Regis along the English Coastal Path. It was hard work in places as it was literally on the shingle beach. It was a nice walk, as it wasn't too hot but it was a long way.

Sunday was a bit of a washout really. We were tired from our walk and the weather wasn't great so we just took it easy. In the evening we had loads of lightening everywhere and some quiet thunder (is there such a thing?)
Monday we took the bus again but this time to Arundel. This is a lovely town inland from Littlehampton. Quaint shops, restaurants, Cathedral and Castle. We arrived lunchtime so we stopped at a lovely Italian restaurant for lunch and then afterwards had a stroll around the town, looking at the Cathedral and Castle. If weather permits, we will probably go back again tomorrow and have a wander around the Castle grounds and maybe go inside as well.
Tuesday we did go back to Arundel and went inside
the castle. Very interesting place with fabulous gardens too, which we wandered around. A most enjoyable day.
Wednesday the weather was coming in, so we extended our stay and took the bus this time to Climping where we went to The Oystercatcher for lunch. We managed to get back just in time before the rain came in and it really did come down big time. Just need it to all dry up by tomorrow as we are off to Winchester.
