We're on a big adventure, stopping off in Australia, to see my friend Kim. It's been a while since I've been here, well 31 years infact, so it is lovely to be here again and to catch up with Kim and meet her family. We sat in the garden as it was a lovely day having drinks and nibbles, catching up and meeting Carlos and Holly, their youngest daughter. It was lovely and so good to see and hear all the colourful birds that came to feed. Later we went for a walk around a couple of local lakes. This was great as it got us out and moving after being stuck in a plane for so long. After our walk, Carlos did a fantastic BBQ, which we thoroughly enjoyed, although we both kept on nodding off 😂. A very enjoyable evening sitting outside, having a few drinks and a good few laughs.
In the morning, after saying goodbye to Holly, we headed off to Woolongong, down on the coast. We watched a few people paraglyding, which was quite good fun. Carlos has decided that he would like to give that a go.
After that we headed off to get some lunch at a hotel that had lovely views out to the ocean. After a lovely lunch, we headed off down into Woolongong and went to a slipway where we saw a couple of stingrays, literally in the shallows at the end of the slip.
We then headed off to the harbour and had a stroll along the prom and had a coffee. We then headed back home, all somewhat exhausted. A early night for us!

The next morning, our last day, we headed off into Sydney, where we met with Tara, their eldest daughter. Again, it was another lovely day and we went for a stroll along the seafront. We actually saw some whales out to sea, surfacing and then going back down again. It was quite fascinating to watch. After that we then went for some lunch. We had to say goodbye to Tara as she had to head back off to work.
And finally, it was time forr us to say goodbye to Kim and Carlos, as we had a plane to catch.
