Still in Jávea
So Monday 28th Feb we decided to do a bike ride to the various view points here. So we started off with my favourite, Cap Negre. It's not to far to cycle and the views are pretty spectacular. We then continued on to Ambolo via Cap de la Nau and Les Pesqueres. Ambolo is Steve's favourite. Here we had some lunch whilst just soaking up the views and the warm weather.
We did manage to duck out on Sunday for some lunch but got caught in the rain on our way back. The weather really isn't looking too good for the next few days. Probably Wednesday is going to be the first dry and sunny day!😞
Tuesday 1st March we played boules in the afternoon. This was great fun as yet again we had a Ladies league. We did manage 2 games this time. We tend not to be so competitive as the guys and naturally take our time 😀. In the evening we went to John and Pats for dinner. It was lovely to sit around at theirs, chatting and eating delicious food and generally having a good time.
Wednesday 2nd March we went to meet up with Lesley and Rob. Wednesday's when we were locked down in Torrox was BBQ day. So after a couple of games of boules, which Steve and I lost (they have nice new shiny boules), we had a BBQ followed by a couple of games of Dirty Liz, oh how we laughed, especially as both Steve and Lesley went out, leaving Rob in a state of shock (he is seriously competitive when it comes to this game) 😂😂
Thursday was a glorious day and we met up with our friends from the ICA, well the ladies, Catie, Marina and Debs, and headed off to Denia. We then walked around Montgo. It's a long and tiring day but relatively an easy walk. It was lovely to have company. We then in the evening re grouped, this time with the guys too, and went for a Chinese meal which was all good fun.
Friday 4th March, we've had a lot of rain and when it looked like stopping, we headed on out and met up with Lesley and Rob and headed off the the market bar for some tapas.
Saturday wasn't much better but again we got a break in the rain and headed on out for a walk. We went to the old town and walked up to Ermita Santa Llucia Church, which gives a lovely view around Jávea. After this we headed down to the port area and went to the corner bar that is now open. Met a couple from the campsite who had cycled there so we had a little social chit chat with them and then the rain came....... thankfully we managed to get a break in the rain and headed on back quickly. And to be honest, it's more or less rained ever since then.
