Navajas, Spain ~ February 2022
Hurrah, we have at last got to Spain. Warm, sunny days, although very cold at night are most welcomed. We came straight to Navajas as our first stop. Have had some lovely walks, the first being up to see the almond blossom in the upper reaches of Navajas. Our friends Tony and Rita, along with their dog Zac, joined us for their first adventure to Spain in their new motorhome. We did the usual walks, along the river to Segorbi, along the via verde to Jerica and up and around the old quarry. We stopped for tapas along the way. Steve and I had our annual trip to Valencia, which was great, always discovering new places we've not come across before. This time it was the very ornate food market.
This year, we also came across red squirrels at the campsite, which I don't think we've seen before. They had the tufty ears too and a cream tummy. Very cute. We spent a lovely week, walking, eating and drinking. And one day, Rita cooked us a lovely curry. Gosh, we needed to do all that walking, just to work off all we'd eaten and drunk!😀😀😀
And then the day before we left Navajas, our friends Catie and John arrived, stopping off on their way down to Javea. So we spent a lovely evening catching up with them too.
Looks great guys - you missed the storms here fortunately. Take care and see you soon (ish).
