Jávea ~ Feb - March

So here we are in Jávea. It's good to be here and catch up with a number of people we've not been able to see for a couple of years. Most people are here, although a few have not been able to make it for one reason or another. The sun is shining and it is relatively warm, more so than being at home. So our first evening we went down to the seafront just to get a feel for the place again. The next day we went to the old town and up into the food market where we of course, stopped for tapas and caught up with the people who run the place. Tony, Rita and Zac arrived today and got settled in whilst we had a game of boules and then we all took a stroll down and around the beach area.

Wednesday saw us up at the port area, where we stopped for lunch. Thursday we went to the outdoor market and then had lunch in the food market. Friday, Steve and I did the light house walk, which we were pleased to see that where the fire had destroyed all the wooded area, there is now significant regrowth. We also saw more red squirrels!

Saturday was a bit of a cool day, so we had breakfast at Creme de la Creme. However, Sunday, we met up with a number of our friends from the ICA group and caught the ferry from Jávea to Denia, which is something new for us. We then had lunch and cycled back to Jávea, again, following a completely new route back. I tell you, it's hard work keeping up with those electric bikes. But all very good fun. A great end to a most enjoyable week here.
