Haro, Rioja region - April 2022
We arrived late afternoon in Haro, home to Rioja. We've not been here for 3 years, so we got straight to it, walking to the main square to stretch our legs after a long journey and get something to eat in the Piano Bar as it is fondly known as. When the sun is shining Haro can be a great place, but when it's not, it can seem a bit drab. Let's hope the sun will come out for us, for the remainder of our trip. On Friday, the promise of some sun and warmer weather got us out and walking along the river Ebro to the quaint village BriƱas, sitting on it's banks. We followed the path as far as we could go and then stopped in the village for a coffee. We had a wander around and then headed back to Haro. We were hoping to be able to visit one of the bodegas for a tour and tasting session, but the one we wanted to visit was all booked up until after we've gone.
