The New Forest ~ 29th September - 5th October 2023
Horses everywhere. We arrived Friday and got ourelves set up quickly. We are at a nice site in the heart of The New Forest, between Brockenhurst and Burley, in the thick of The New Forest. Not a lot going on here, a good 2-3 miles walk to the village. But it is peaceful and quiet. Pizza van arrived early evening, so we tucked into that. Saturday we strolled into the nearest village, Bransgore where we stopped for refreshment and then a look around. We then continued our walk in a loop back to site. Actually, we got a bit lost, but we got there in the end😁. Sunday we picked up a trail which we followed for some miles, through the forest and open scrub land. We eventually ended up on a cycle track, Burley to Brockenhurst, which we are planning on doing later in the week. We then stopped at The Old Station tea rooms at Holmsley for some light refreshment and a bite to eat. We then strolled back to camp. All in all a very pleasant day.
